Please note that in Connecticut, the expungement of an applicant’s criminal record is achieved with an Absolute Pardon only. Once an Absolute Pardon is granted, a collaborative effort begins between the Board of Pardons & Paroles, Judicial, Court Support Services, State Police, and the FBI to clear an applicant’s criminal record in Connecticut.  The entire process can take up to one year, depending on the volume of applications received.
