Pursuant to Public Act 21-18, which makes minor and technical changes to the Workers' Compensation Act, the title of "Commissioner" will be changed to "Administrative Law Judge" effective October 1, 2021. The Workers' Compensation Commission (WCC) will continue to amend various forms, publications, correspondence, statutes and regulations to reflect this statutory title change. Any use of the title "Commissioner" on any forms, publications, correspondence, statutes, and/or regulations as of October 1, 2021 shall be interpreted and/or understood to mean "Administrative Law Judge".
