PURA Seeks Input on Management Audits
(New Britain, CT – April 25, 2022) – Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is seeking public input on the scope of management audits that the Authority has initiated. The Authority will be auditing the management and operations of the three Avangrid companies in Connecticut (United Illuminating, Southern Connecticut Gas, and Connecticut Natural Gas) and has developed a draft Audit Workplan for the audits.
improve the relevancy and effectiveness of the management audits, the Authority is seeking input from stakeholders on the draft Audit Workplan. Specifically, the Authority is requesting that interested parties provide comments on and/or suggested revisions to the workplan no later than Wednesday, May 4, 2022. The Authority will consider any feedback in finalizing the audit workplan. Feedback can be emailed to PURA.ExecutiveSecretary@ct.gov. The subject line of the email should state “Management Audit Workplan.”
In addition, the Authority will host a remote Stakeholder Conference on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to provide a forum for additional feedback on the workplan. Anyone interested in participating may register in advance here:

Note: , the Authority is only seeking input on the draft Audit Workplan for the three Avangrid companies. Subsequent management audits will commence for the Eversource electric, gas, and water companies in accordance with the Authority’s final decision in Docket No. 20-08-03, Investigation into Electric Distribution Companies’ Preparation for and Response to Tropical Storm Isaias.
