Welcome to the State of Connecticut Office of Policy and Management (OPM) Website

With the continued use of our website, we are pleased to be a part of state government agencies that are using the Internet to improve public access to state government information, programs, and services; provide a mechanism for state government to become more efficient, effective, and responsive to the public; and provide a tool to improve cross-agency collaborative activities.

As the staff agency to the Governor, the Office of Policy and Management's mission is to provide information and analysis that the Governor uses to formulate public policy goals for the State of Connecticut and assist State agencies and municipalities in implementing policy decisions on behalf of the people of Connecticut. We are supportive of the Governor’s priority of creating new jobs and keeping the ones we have while at the same time being committed to a rigorous, transparent and straightforward budget.

Our sincere hope is that through the use of the Internet, we will be better able to inform decision makers within the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches, as well as local elected officials and the citizens of this state, about important public policy issues affecting the State of Connecticut. Not only does OPM want to improve public access to information about our programs and services, but we also strive to improve the management of state programs, enhance cross-agency coordination, and target services where they are most needed.
