Kids in Crisis

Kids in Crisis received funding from the State of Connecticut’s Nonprofit Grant Program to purchase new windows and new vehicles. The shelters windows were old, ill fitting and not energy efficient.  The window replacement improved the aesthetics of the shelter, greatly reduced energy costs and improved safety and security.

The purchase of new vehicles has enabled KIC to continue to provide the kids with safe transportation to school, medical appointments and group activities. A combination of high and low occupancy vehicles has shown to be effective in reduced fuel and maintenance costs. Most importantly all vehicles are equipped with up to date safety features.
