Destroyed in the aftermath of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2011, the flag has been touring all 50 states where pieces of fabric from U.S. flags destined for retirement in each state have been stitched together to bring the flag back to its original 13-stripe format.

  On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the Connecticut Matchmaking Business Conference, an event designed to match qualified Connecticut small businesses with federal and state prime contractors to increase business opportunities. Reviczky today announced that the State Bond Commission is anticipated to approve at its upcoming meeting an allocation of $500,000 that will be used to continue the Department of Agriculture’s Farm Reinvestment Program, which provides matching grants to farmers to expand or improve working farms in accordance with business plans to keep the farms working for at least ten years.

• Gov. Malloy: Connecticut M-8 Rail Fleet Continues to Grow

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy, the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Metro-North Railroad (MNR) today announced that a third set of M-8 rail cars was put into service this morning, bringing to 130 the number of train runs operating with the new cars each week. A total of 26 new M-8s have now been accepted from Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc., and put into service on the New Haven Line.
