Individuals Rights to file a Complaint Regarding Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Services

Individuals who are dissatisfied with the services provided by their non-emergency medical transportation services have the right to file complaints/grievances without the fear of retaliation or reprisal. Currently in Connecticut MTM is the state contracted NEMT service provider and works to arrange rides for eligible HUSKY Health Medicaid members to get to and from their healthcare appointments. If an individual wants to file a grievance against MTM there are several ways to do so. These include:

Directly through MTM by several means

By reaching out and reporting concerns directly to affected individuals local and state representatives to raise concerns about the services being provided. If the individual resides in a long term care facility such as a residential care home or a skilled nursing facility Through the long term care ombudsman’s office who (with resident/legal representative consent) can submit a Medicaid Provider Transportation Complaint Form to Department of Social Services administrative offices for investigation.
