myconneCT Phase 2 Information

Available September 2021

Phase 2 of the Department of Revenue Service's (DRS) information technology (IT) modernization initiative is set to take place in September of 2021.

Businesses and Bulk Filers can begin using myconneCT to file and pay the tax types below. The ability to file or pay these tax types in the TSC will be disabled.

Business Income*
Corporation Business Tax, Income Tax Trust & Estate, Pass Through Entity, and Unrelated Business

Insurance/Healthcare
Domestic Insurance, Foreign Insurance, Captive Insurance, Risk Retention Group, Healthcare Center, Non-Admitted Insurance, Guaranty Association Credit

Cigarette & Tobacco
Cigarette Distributors, Cigarette Manufacturers, Cigarette Retailer/Dealer, Cigarette Dealer/Vendor, Electronic Cigarette Products, Tobacco Products

Note: PACT Act reports can be submitted through myconneCT via a predefined CSV file (required for taxpayers who ship into Connecticut any Cigarette, Tobacco, or E-Cigarette products). More information, including instructions and file layouts, coming soon!

IFTA
Note:
The IPC will be discontinued and IFTA filers will be required to use myconneCT for license renewals, return filing and paying, and decal orders.

Motor Fuel/Vehicle
Special Fuel, Motor Carrier, Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax, Petroleum Gross Earnings, Tax Paid Motor Vehicle

Note: Returns forms OP-216 (SFT), O-MF (GMV), and OMF-1 (GDF) can be submitted through myconneCT via a predefined CSV file (required for monthly Motor Fuel filers). More information, including instructions and file layouts, coming soon!

Electric Companies
Utility Companies Tax (Gas), Utility Companies Tax (Electric)

*If you currently file using MeF (or another electronic filing process), you can continue using your current filing method and you are not required to use myconneCT.

Even more to look forward to in myconneCT:

  • Motor Carrier decal orders
  • Cigarette Distributor stamp orders (only available online effective September 13, 2021)
  • Ability to obtain and print permits
  • New businesses will be able to register their business using myconneCT with a "Save and Finish Later" option
  • Upon successful completion of the online registration, taxpayers will receive their CT Registration Number in real time
