ORAL HEALTH SURVEILLANCE DATA
Every Smile Counts
Every Smile Counts is a statewide health survey of children from elementary schools in Connecticut. Data are collected by registered dental hygienists using a nationally standardized tool that was developed by America State and Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD) in collaboration with the CDC to gather information on the presence of dental sealants, untreated decay, and need for treatment.

Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)
PRAMS is a joint project of the CDC and the CT DPH. It is an ongoing, population-based surveillance system that collects data on maternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and shortly after pregnancy. The PRAMS data are collected annually from postpartum women.
