Special Licensing Hearings

Due to the public health emergency, all conferences and hearings for denials, revocations, and summary suspensions are currently postponed until a system for use of non-contact technology can be developed. Individuals with pending conferences or hearings will be contacted as soon as possible to reschedule. The provision of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies Section 29-2-10 that summary suspension proceedings shall be held within thirty (30) days of the summary suspension is hereby extended to ninety (90) days

Welcome to the Special Licensing and Firearms Unit (SLFU) Hearings Website. If you have received a letter letting you know that your license (security guard, bail enforcement agent, private detective, or other license issued by the SLFU) has been denied, revoked, or suspended then you must mail or email us your signed and dated decision form to withdraw or ask for a conference and/or hearing within fifteen days. To learn more about the conference and hearings process, please see the below description of how it all works or visit the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

You may also access the appropriate forms to download, print, and either mail or email to notify the Department of your decisions.
