DEEP now has the ability to take payment of fees online by either credit card or e-check!
If you wish to take advantage of this option, please mail the hard copy of your renewal application as instructed, without payment.
Please indicate on the front of the application “would like to make an online payment”
Ensure that your contact details include an email address.
Once the application is entered you will receive an email with the ePayment link, and your client ID# that is needed to access your account.
If you do not make payment the same day you receive the email, you will receive an invoice for the fee the next day, which can also be paid anytime either online or by regular check.

Due to the closure of DEEP Headquarters this week, please email application forms due by February 1, 2026 to DEEP.LEPApplicant@ct.gov.
- Application for Examination to become an LEP (Instructions) - Deadline to apply for the upcoming LEP Exam is February 1st in the year the exam is administered. The upcoming LEP Exam is scheduled to be administered on May 14, 2026.
- Verification of Education Form - This must be completed and submitted directly to the Board by the educational institution(s) that issued the degree.

Short Form to Retake the LEP Exam - Deadline to apply to retake the LEP exam is March 1st in the year the exam is administered.
- Application for Environmental Professional License Renewal - Due June 1, 2026
- DEEP will now allow you to submit your LEP renewal application by email to DEEP.CentralPermits@ct.gov or by hardcopy. Please choose only one renewal method.
- LEP Continuing Education Credit Summary Form - Due June 1, 2027 This form must be included every ODD calendar year upon renewal to demonstrate compliance with the CEC requirements (cannot repeat course for credit unless taken prior to July 1, 2021). Attach the course certificates.

- Course Approval Form (Instructions) - Use this form when requesting course approval by the LEP Board for CTLEP credit
