Fuel Cell Information
The Council has exclusive jurisdiction to approve fuel cells. (For details see C.G.S. ยง 16-50k.)
There are several manufacturers of fuel cell units in Connecticut including Proton Energy Systems, FuelCell Energy, and others. Various fuel cell units have been installed at locations throughout the state including hospitals (St. Francis Hospital in Hartford), public schools (Middletown High School), and retail stores (Whole Foods in Glastonbury).
