Connecticut Racial Profiling - CTRP3

Overview

The Connecticut Racial Profiling Prohibition Project (CTRP3) is led by the Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy (IMRP) at Central Connecticut State University. The project works with the Office of Policy and Management (OPM).

An Advisory Board was created to help guide the project. The board oversees the design, evaluation, and management required under Public Act 12-74, “An Act Concerning Traffic Stop Information.”

IMRP works with the Advisory Board and partner agencies to improve how traffic stop data is collected and reviewed across Connecticut.

CJIS-CT Support

The CJIS Governing Board created a team to support this project.

The team worked with:

  • Ken Barone, Policy and Research Specialist, IMRP
  • Jim Fazzalaro, Project Manager, Central Connecticut State University (CCSU)

Together, they built and launched the systems and tools used for this project.
