Municipality where project is proposed: Windsor Locks, CT
Project Description: The Proposed Action is the construction of a new Windsor Locks Readiness Center (WLRC) in Windsor Locks,
The Proposed Action would involve construction of a 110,000 square foot (sf) facility that would include general purpose and special purpose maintenance work bays for military surface equipment; shop work, test and supply areas; tool and parts rooms; battery rooms; Petroleum/Oil/Lubricant (POL) flammable and controlled waste handling storage areas; administrative/office areas; locker/toilet/shower rooms; a break room and a physical fitness room. Demolition of three structures is also proposed.
The facility would also include, but not necessarily be limited to: associated supporting facilities such as unheated enclosed equipment storage building; military vehicle and Privately-owned Vehicle (POV) parking; access roads and ramps; loading dock(s); fuel storage and dispensing system; fuel truck containment area; security lighting; site Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures; utilities and landscaping.

Any person can ask the sponsoring agency to hold a Public Hearing on this EIE by sending such a request to the address below by June 25, 2010.
