2. Notice of Scoping For Meriden Rehabilitation of the Broad Brook Water Treatment Facility and the Broad Brook Pump Station.

Municipality where proposed project might be located: City of Meriden/Town of Cheshire.

Addresses of Possible Project Location:The majority of the project is scheduled to take place within the confines of the City of Meriden, Broad Brook Water Treatment Facility located at 1285 Rear South Meriden Road, (Rt. 70) Cheshire, and the Broad Brook Pump Station on Finch Avenue, Meriden. A tie into a Natural Gas Main within Rear South Meriden Road (Rt. 70) is scheduled to be connected to serve the Broad Brook Water Treatment Facility.

Project Description: The project within the Broad Brook Water Treatment Facility consists of replacement of the following items; sedimentation basins, filters, chemical feed systems, installation of high efficency motors and a emergency generator, modifications to the HVAC, and SCADA and laboratory upgrades. The work within the Broad Brook Pump Station includes replacement of pumps, valves, motors and HVAC upgrades.

Any person can ask the sponsoring agency to hold a Public Scoping Meeting by sending such a request to the agency address below byThursday, November 17, 2011 . If a meeting is requested by 25 or more individuals, or by an association that represents 25 or more members, the sponsoring agency shall schedule a Public Scoping Meeting.
