• Connecticut Receiving $6 Million From Abbott Laboratories Settlements Over Marketing of Depakote

  Attorney General George Jepsen said Connecticut will receive approximately $6 million from federal and state civil and criminal settlements announced today with Illinois-based Abbott Laboratories over allegations the company promoted sales and use of prescription drug Depakote for uses that were not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as safe and effective.

  Attorney General George Jepsen, Chief State’s Attorney Kevin T. Kane and Department of Social Services Commissioner Roderick L. Bremby today announced that Connecticut has joined with other states and the federal government in a global settlement with CareFusion Corporation to resolve allegations of unlawful marketing practices in promoting the sale of Chloraprep, a surgical preparation solution.

• Connecticut Joins Settlement Agreement With Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

  Attorney General George Jepsen said that Connecticut has joined with other states and the federal government to settle allegations that Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
