Thursday: Lt. Gov. Wyman Attends Events in North Haven, New Haven, and Derby
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make remarks at the North Haven High School and Connecticut Association of Schools Division of Student Activities Diversity in Action Conference. The event will be attended by 100 students and advisors and addresses school climate including bullying, identity, and gender bias.
Later, the Lt. Governor will attend the grand opening for the expansion of the Residential Home Care at Leeway Nursing Home. The facility is the only one in Connecticut that is completely committed to the care of residents living with HIV/AIDS.
In the afternoon, Lt. Governor Wyman will join Derby Mayor Anita Dugatto on a tour of a solar array on a town brownfield. The energy efficiency project will reduce municipal energy expenses and helps the state meet its greenhouse gas reduction goals.
