LT.GOVERNOR-ELECT WYMAN NAMES CAPITOL STAFF
Lt. Governor-Elect Nancy Wyman today announced her appointments to her Capitol staff:
Bettye Jo Pakulis - Chief of Staff:
  • Pakulis, of Tolland, most recently was Assistant to Treasurer Denise Nappier, and was Capitol Office Director for former Secretary of State Miles Rappoport. She also has served as Deputy Director for DemocracyWorks, and as Northeast Regional Director for the Center for Policy Alternatives in Washington, D.C.

Martin Heft - Senior Advisor:
  • Heft served 20 years in elected office in his hometown of Chester, including 12 years as First Selectman. For the past four years, he was Executive Assistant to Wyman in the Office of the State Comptroller.

Steve Jensen - Director of Communications:
  • Jensen, of Hadlyme, was Wyman's spokesman for 13 years in the Office of the State Comptroller. He is a former reporter for the Hartford Courant and the Journal Inquirer of Manchester.

Theresa Becchi - Special Assistant:
  • Becchi, of Stamford, was a political assistant on Gov. Dan Malloy's campaign. She is a 2010 graduate of College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.
