MEMORANDUM NO. 2000-09

Fees for CPT Codes 97001 and 97003

It has come to my attention that some confusion was created in the recently circulated Memorandum No. 2000-07. One of the changes incorporated in that memorandum was the adoption of CPT codes 97001 and 97003. This was done as part of our effort to make the Connecticut use of the CPT system as standard as possible.

It was not my intention to change the reimbursement rate for these services. In order to insure that these initial evaluations continue to be paid at the rate in existence prior to Memorandum No. 2000-07, I am changing the published rate for these codes to $90.00. This rate should be considered in effect since October 1, 2000, which is the effective date of the changes.

I regret any confusion which may have arisen as a result of this memorandum.
