Supreme Court Decisions

In a tiny number of cases, Judges of the State's Supreme Court may hear arguments from both parties to a disputed workers' compensation case that remains unresolved, even after having gone through lower-level hearings in the Workers' Compensation Commission's District Offices and, in most cases, the CRB and/or the Appellate Court, as well.

While opinions issued by the CRB take precedence over findings from lower-level hearings heard by the Commission, and decisions of the Appellate Court take precedence over opinions issued by the CRB, decisions of the Supreme Court take precedence over opinions issued by any of the lower-level bodies within either the Workers' Compensation Commission or the State Judicial Branch.
