There are differences between the vaccine types, but all three vaccines currently authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are highly effective based on trials. If you are aged 12 to 17 years, the Pfizer vaccine is currently the only FDA authorized vaccine you can receive.

You can talk with your medical provider if you have specific questions or concerns that may lead you to want to seek out one specific COVID-19 vaccine versus another. If you are aged 12 to 17 years old, you may only receive the Pfizer vaccine.
