As Connecticut marks today National Teen Driver Safety Week the state sees a number of improvements in safety for this group of its youngest and most inexperienced drivers following the strengthening two years ago of laws designed to help prevent crashes, injuries and deaths.
Gov. Malloy Judges Annual Contest for Teen Safe Driving
High school students' videos showing how teens should make the right choice for safety when behind the wheel were rated by Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Travelers executives, state commissioners and other safety advocates. The group rated the best among 164 entries in the annual contest for teen safe driving.
Teens Celebrated for Bringing Safe Driving to the Forefront
On Monday evening, highway safety advocates, state and other officials gathered to celebrate teens from across Connecticut for promoting safe driving during this year’s Department of Motor Vehicles’ teen safe driving video contest, From the Driver’s Seat to the Director’s Chair.
DMV Marks National Teen Driver Safety Week October 16-22
National Teen Driver Safety week begins today and DMV Commissioner Melody A. Currey announced that her office has taken some special initiatives to help teens and parents understand the importance of safety behind the wheel.
