Secretary Kohler Receives the Resignations of State Representatives Edwin Vargas and Dan Fox
(Hartford, CT) – Secretary of the State Mark Kohler received the resignations of State Representatives Edwin Vargas and Dan Fox prior to the 2023 legislative session. The letters of resignation are attached to this release.
Under state law, the governor has ten days to issue writs of election to choose successors in the 6th and 148th State House districts. The special elections must be held on the 46th day after the issuance of the writs of election. Major party conventions must take place by 36 days before the special elections.
