Speaking Engagement Requests

The Connecticut Teacher of the Year participates in a multitude of speaking engagements throughout their year of service. The Department of Education is happy to coordinate alongside your institution if you wish to request that the current honoree speak at your upcoming event. Note that availability of the honoree is subject to their schedule and previously accepted commitments. As such, we advise that you submit your request as soon as possible.

Examples of engagements that the Teacher of the Year can participate may include, but are not limited to:

• Keynote speaker
• Participation in a panel
• Interview 
• Presentations
• Participation in a workshop
• University guest lecturer
