Approved Private Special Education Programs
Special education programs in private facilities with Connecticut State Board of Education approval as private special education programs, including private day and residential schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and treatment centers.
The Connecticut State Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education (BSE), is planning to implement a new Individualized Education Program (IEP) document and the Special Education Data System (CT-SEDS) in the 2022-23 school year. This page will provide up-to-date information, documents and tools to assist in the roll-out of the new IEP.
The CSDE developed a series of Preview Training Sessions that were released, recorded, and posted prior to the launch of CT-SEDS.
Restraint and Seclusion Preview Session
To Supplement current and future formal training opportunities, the CSDE is offering a brief Restraint and Seclusion Session to document and generate and Restraint and/or Seclusion incident in CT-SEDS.

Specific Learning Disability (SLD) Preview Series
To supplement current and future formal training opportunities, the CSDE is offering a series of brief SLD Evaluation Preview Sessions to highlight the updated Multi-disciplinary Evaluation Report and Subject Specific Worksheets and how they are developed and generated in CT-SEDS.
CT-SEDS Administrative Training Preview Series
To supplement current and future formal training opportunities, PCG and CSDE are offering a series of brief Administrative Training Preview Sessions to introduce you to the major administrative functionality available to you and your users in CT-SEDS.
