Greater Hartford Regional School Choice Office (RSCO)

The RSCO School Choice Application for the 2026-27 school year closed on February 11, 2026, at 5:00 pm. The late application will open for select schools and grades after the first round of magnet school placements have been announced.

Join the Greater Hartford Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) for a free family event to learn about the public, PK to grade 12 School Choice opportunities available through RSCO and find the best fit for your family! This event is the perfect time for current families and prospective families to learn more, ask questions, and understand their options during the late application and waitlist period! Plan to arrive no later than 12:30PM to speak to schools. The event includes free snacks, activities, and giveaways while supplies last!

Placement Notification Schedule for the 2026-27 School Year 
RSCO will begin to send placement notifications late February for CTECS, the week of March 9th for magnet schools, and the week of March 16th for the Open Choice program. RSCO will post the placement schedule in February and March. Families should monitor their emails and text messages for placement notifications or go to ChooseYourSchool.org for updated information.
