Foreword
The stories and experiences of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities are woven into the fabric of American history. Yet, these narratives are often underrepresented in traditional curriculum materials. The resources curated here are intended to empower educators to integrate AAPI voices into instruction meaningfully.
This work builds on Connecticut’s commitment to culturally relevant teaching. It also responds to growing national efforts to combat anti-Asian hate and to recognize the vital contributions of AAPI individuals to society, the arts, science, government, and civil rights.
By equipping educators with high-quality and accurate materials, we foster a generation of learners who see the full scope of the American story.
