Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

Afterschool Programs

Overview

Afterschool programs provide academic enrichment (such as hands-on science or technology programs) and activities to support student learning and development.

Located in schools and community-based organizations, afterschool programs provide activities such as:

tutoring and mentoring;
homework help;
community service opportunities;
music;
art;
sports; and
cultural activities.

Programs also help working parents by providing a safe environment for students.
