What is disqualification?
“Disqualification" means the prohibition of any person, firm or corporation from bidding on State contracts in response to an invitation to bid.”

Reasons for disqualification
Contractors can be disqualified or suspended for violating the law or terms of their contract.

Disqualification process
The State Contracting Standards Board (SCSB) and the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) have the right to disqualify a contractor, bidder, or proposer. The process usually includes:
- Notice of the proposed disqualification
- An opportunity for the contractor to request a hearing
- A hearing, procedures, and review of evidence
- A written recommendation from the hearing officer
- A final decision issued by DAS
