Meet Gregory F. Daniels, Executive Director of SCSB

Gregory F. Daniels, Esq., serves as Executive Director of the State Contracting Standards Board, where he leads the agency’s efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and integrity in Connecticut state contracting and procurement.

Attorney Daniels brings extensive experience in public service, administrative law, procurement, and government oversight. Prior to joining SCSB, he served in senior procurement leadership at the University of Connecticut, including as Interim Assistant Vice President of University Business Services and Chief Procurement Officer. He also served at the Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission in several senior roles, including Commission Counsel, Legislative and Administrative Manager, and Information Technology Manager.
He has taught as a lecturer in law and journalism at the University of Connecticut and has participated as a speaker at numerous programs on government transparency, information policy, and related issues. Attorney Daniels earned his Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with a minor in Computer Science, from Central Connecticut State University. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
