Early Childhood Education Endowment Advisory Board

Background

The Early Childhood Education Endowment Advisory Board was created in Public Act 25-93 and is responsible for providing oversight and administration of the Early Childhood Education Endowment. As part of its oversight role, the board is tasked with (1) ensuring that funds from the endowment are expended in accordance with Section 4 of P.A. 25-93, (2) reviewing all reports and expenditure plans concerning the endowment submitted by the Treasurer and Commissioner of Early Childhood, (3) reviewing and assessing the outcomes related to the expenditure of funds from the endowment, and (4) preparing and submitting reports and recommendations to the General Assembly concerning the administration of the endowment and permissible expenditure of funds from the endowment, including recommendations for expansion of permissible expenditures of funds from the endowment.
