Governor Ned Lamont and Connecticut Department of Public Health Commissioner Manisha Juthani, MD, today announced that Connecticut has joined the Nurse Licensure Compact - an agreement among 43 U.S. states and territories that allows Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to obtain one multistate license permitting them to legally practice nursing in all participating locations.

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a blast of arctic temperatures averaging 10 to 20 degrees below normal over the next several days, he is directing the state's Severe Cold Weather Protocol to be activated effective at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, and remaining in effect through 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Governor Ned Lamont and Connecticut Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto today announced that the Connecticut Department of Transportation has been awarded $35.7 million in federal funding through the Federal Transit Administration's FY25 Bus Low or No-Emission Grant Program to support the modernization and expansion of the Windham Region Transit District bus facility in Mansfield.
