Connecticut State Division of Public Defender Services

Members of the public have reported receiving calls, reportedly from the Judicial Branch of the Public Defender’s office, indicating that their loved one is in jail and they need to immediately send cash or provide a credit card number for bail. These calls are scams, so please do not send cash or provide your credit card number or any other personal information. A public defender would never call and ask for money or credit card information. If you receive such a call, contact the State Police in your state.

Take I-91

South Take exit 24, then take a right off the ramp onto the Silas Deane Highway (rt.99) Go straight through a few lights, up a gradual hill, and on your right there will be a large brick building with big numbers on the front indicating the address, 2275 (If you reach the intersection of rt. 160, then you’ve gone a little too far).

From New Haven:

North Take exit 24, then take a left off the ramp onto the Silas Deane Highway (rt.99) Go straight through a few lights, up a gradual hill, and on your right there will be a large brick building with big numbers on the front indicating the address, 2275 (If you reach the intersection of rt. 160, then you’ve gone a little too far).

Park in the back of the building.  Enter through the back door and go up the stairs to the second floor.
