Gov. Malloy Statement on the Resignation of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement regarding the resignation of Scott Pruitt as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA):
“This is long overdue. Scott Pruitt’s consistent, breathtaking pattern of corruption is trumped only by his utter disregard for environmental protection. He will no doubt go down as the worst administrator in EPA history. While his resignation is certainly welcome news, his replacement – at least for the time being – is a former lobbyist for the coal industry. In short, states like Connecticut must continue to step up to fight against the effects of climate change and protect our communities.”
