Gov. Malloy Announces Tractor Trailer Highway Ban will be Lifted on All Highways Except I-84 Effective 10pm Tonight
Tractor Trailer Ban Remains in Effect on I-84 until Further Notice
(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced that the travel ban for tractor trailers and tandem trailers on all limited access highways will be lifted effective 10:00 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, March 7, 2018) except on I-84, where it will remain in effect until further notice.
The ban went into effect on Wednesday afternoon as winter weather and travel conditions deteriorated and in an effort to assist neighboring New York State manage traffic as the storm impacted the region.
