Gov. Malloy Sets February 27 Special Election for State House Seat in Stratford

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that a special election to fill a vacancy in the 120th Assembly District of the Connecticut House of Representatives, which consists of portions of the Town of Stratford, will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

The seat became vacant last week following the resignation of Laura Hoydick.

Under state law, the Governor is required to issue a Writ of Special Election within ten days of a legislative vacancy and a special election must be held exactly 46 days after the writ is issued. Governor Malloy filed the writs today.
