Gov. Malloy: Special Election for State Representative in Cheshire and Wallingford to be Held November 8
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that he has signed writs designating that a special election to fill a vacancy in the State House of Representatives serving the 90th Assembly District, which covers portions of Cheshire and Wallingford, will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
The seat was most recently held by State Representative Mary Fritz, who passed away this summer.
Both a special election and a regular election for the seat will be held on this date. The winner of the special election will fill the seat through the remainder of the current term. The winner of the regular election will be sworn into office at the beginning of the next regular term in January 2017.
