FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY KICKS OFF CONNECTICUT MENTORING MONTH IN NEW HAVEN
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by other state and local officials, will hold an event with the Governor's Prevention Partnership at Truman School in New Haven to kick of Connecticut Mentoring Month. There are currently 180,000 youth statewide in need of a mentor. During the month, the goal is to recognize the great cause of mentoring and to raise awareness of the tremendous benefits associated with it. At the kick-off event, mentored students from Truman School will tell their stories about how mentoring positively affected their lives.
