WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN MANUFACTURING AWARDS CEREMONY; ATTENDS HOMESERVE GRAND OPENING IN NORWALK; COMMEMORATES PASSAGE OF GMO LAW

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities' 2013 Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centers Awards Ceremony in Hartford.

Following that, Governor Malloy will participate in the grand opening ceremony of HomeServe USA's new corporate headquarters in Norwalk. The home emergency repairs company was established in 2002 and plans to expand its current base of 109 employees by adding 130 new jobs at the location over the next five years.

At noon, Governor Malloy will hold a ceremony in Fairfield to commemorate final passage of legislation (Public Act 13-183) that requires certain foods intended for human consumption that are entirely or partially genetically engineered to be labeled as such. He will be joined by lawmakers and advocates of GMO labeling.
