GOV. MALLOY STATEMENT ON DEVELOPMENTS IN SEBAC V. ROWLAND CASE

(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement on Monday afternoon following the Attorney General's announcement regarding the case of State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition v. Rowland :

"Governor Rowland's tactics years ago put the state's taxpayers at risk. By agreeing to withdraw the appeal for now and pursue negotiations while preserving the right to appeal to the Supreme Court at a later date, the Attorney General is putting Connecticut in a position to get the best possible resolution for Connecticut taxpayers."
