TUESDAY: GOV. MALLOY MAKES ADMINISTRATIVE APPOINTMENT; HOLDS URBAN VIOLENCE ROUNDTABLE IN BRIDGEPORT; KEYNOTES ECONOMIC FORUM
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference at the State Capitol in Hartford, where he will make an administrative appointment.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will join Mayor Bill Finch, Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett, Jr., the Bridgeport state legislative delegation, and members of the Bridgeport community for a roundtable discussion on urban violence, including gun violence reduction strategies, community policing efforts, and other mitigation efforts.
In the evening, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address at the Connecticut Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Connecticut chapter of the Turnaround Management Association's Third Annual Economic Forum in Fairfield, where he will speak about his administration's efforts to attract investment, spur job growth and help industries become more competitive in the global marketplace.
