STATEMENT FROM GOV. MALLOY'S COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR ANDREW DOBA
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy's Director of Communications Andrew Doba this afternoon released the following statement in response to Representative Cafero's statement on the state's decision to forgo the President's recent proposal for the Affordable Care Act:
"Rep. Cafero is wrong. What he is suggesting should have happened could not have happened, because the President's proposed solution simply doesn't work for Connecticut. In part, that's because we know from insurers that even if a special session were called and Connecticut granted them the leeway that the President proposed, they would still not renew any plans already slated for replacement."
