FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY VISITS THE STATE VETERANS HOME IN ROCKY HILL, ATTENDS EVENTS IN HARTFORD AND BERLIN

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the MetroHartford Alliance's Rising Star Breakfast in Hartford, where he will discuss his administration's efforts to expand Connecticut's economy and grow jobs.

Later, Governor Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the Connecticut Business Leadership Network's Employment Conference and Career Fair in Berlin. The event, attended by employers from around the state, seeks to grow job opportunities for people with disabilities.

Following that, Governor Malloy will visit the Connecticut State Veterans Home in Rocky Hill, where he will participate in the Department of Veterans' Affairs annual Veterans Day ceremony.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will chair a meeting of the P-20 Council, the group of stakeholders led by the Governor and charged with collaborating on a public policy framework that integrates components of the state's education system with economic and workforce development opportunities.
