WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ATTENDS EVENTS IN STAMFORD, BRISTOL AND ORANGE

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give the keynote address at the 2nd annual Connecticut Captive Insurance Association Symposium in Stamford. The event will be attended by industry leaders in captive insurance, which is a growing part of Connecticut's insurance industry. Other speakers will include Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Thomas B. Leonardi and State Senator Joseph Crisco.

Later, Governor Malloy will make remarks at the grand opening ceremony of Huntington Woods Apartments in Bristol. The property was originally built in 1990 with 38% of its units (108) designated as affordable housing. Following a rehabilitation project, the 70% of the units (196) are now designated as affordable housing.

Following that, Governor Malloy will make remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Boys & Girls Club and Family Center of Bristol.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will visit Numet Machining Techniques in Orange for an opportunity to tour the manufacturing facility and speak with its executives and staff. Since 1984, Numet has been a Connecticut-based manufacturer of precision machined turbine engine components requiring complex geometries and exotic alloys.
