WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY ANNOUNCES MAJOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE AND HIGHLIGHTS JOB GROWTH IN STAMFORD AND BRIDGEPORT

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give the keynote address at the Business Council of Fairfield County's "Jobs and the Economy" breakfast in Stamford, where he will make a major announcement concerning the enhancement of opportunities for businesses in an effort to spur job growth. The event will be attended by representatives of businesses from throughout Fairfield County.

Following that, Governor Malloy will attend the grand opening ceremony of the Navigators Group's new international headquarters in Stamford. The specialty insurance holding company recently relocated from New York to Connecticut and is undergoing an expansion project that will add 200 new jobs at the new Stamford location over the next five years.

Later, Governor Malloy will visit Byrne Woodworking in Bridgeport, for an opportunity to tour the facility and speak with the company's executives and employees about the recent expansion of the small business.
