THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR WEST HAVEN'S VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday evening, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join Mayor John M. Picard and other guests in West Haven for a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of renovations at Veterans Memorial Park, the city's Pop Warner field. Utilizing a $500,000 state grant, the city will renovate two existing buildings at the park to provide ADA-compliant restrooms, team locker rooms and a concession area. With the improvements, the park will now be eligible to host state and regional tournaments.
