SUNDAY: GOV. MALLOY & LT. GOV. WYMAN PARTICIPATE IN ANNUAL STATE FIREFIGHTERS MEMORIAL SERVICE

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Sunday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the keynote speaker at the 11th annual Connecticut State Firefighters Memorial Service at the Connecticut Fire Academy in Windsor Locks. Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will also make remarks. This year, one name will be added to the memorial: Lt. Russell F. Neary of the Easton Volunteer Fire Department, who was killed last October during Storm Sandy while serving the public clearing tree debris from a roadway. The event is held by the Connecticut State Firefighters Association Memorial Foundation, in cooperation with the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection and the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control.
