SATURDAY: GOV. MALLOY KEYNOTES CONN. AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE CONFERENCE IN MIDDLETOWN; ATTENDS EVENTS IN GREENWICH, WEST HARTFORD AND HARTFORD
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Saturday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will speak at Delta Nu Boule of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity's 20th meeting of the Northeast Regional Boule in Greenwich, which will focus on the importance of technology in education. Attendees will include 100 middle and high-school age students interested in STEM disciplines and participating in a "STEM Youth Camp."
Following that, Governor Malloy will be the keynote speaker at Connecticut Against Gun Violence's conference on gun violence prevention in Middletown.
In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will speak about his vision for higher education and the importance of community colleges at the Congress of Connecticut Community Colleges' membership conference in West Hartford.
In the evening, Governor Malloy will speak at the Connecticut Science Center's 2013 Green Gala in Hartford, which benefits science education in Connecticut.
