FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY KEYNOTES MANUFACTURING SUMMIT IN TORRINGTON; TOURS HEALING HEARTS FACILITY IN DANBURY

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give the keynote address at the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce's 2013 Manufacturing Summit, which will be attended by manufacturers, business leaders and educators from around the region.

Following that, Governor Malloy will be in Danbury, where he will meet with representatives of the Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western Connecticut for a tour of the construction at the organization's new facility, which will contain the Healing Hearts Center for Grieving Children. The program is the only one of its kind in the state and provides workshops, social groups, and bereavement support to families in Western Connecticut. The organization received a $1.2 million state grant for the project.
