WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT ANNUAL SUPERINTENDENTS MEETING; PARTICIPATES IN CLIMATE CHANGE NEWS CONFERENCE

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will make welcoming remarks at the Connecticut Department of Education's annual back-to-school meeting for superintendents.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will participate in a news conference in Hartford with White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Nancy Sutley to discuss his recently announced, first-in-the-nation microgrid program and how it fits into President Obama's Climate Action Plan. Also participating will be U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra, State Senator John Fonfara, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 1 Administrator Curt Spalding.
